This workshop is for adults (18+)

Learn the basics of this simple printing process in this structured but relaxed workshop.
Simple instruction on making plates will be followed by time to ink and print your image using rollers, spoons and a bit of elbow grease……no printing-press required!

This is a process you can easily replicate at home with a minimum of specialist equipment.
No experience needed – step-by-step demos.

A fun taster session suitable for complete beginners and those wanting to refresh their skills.

Further linoprinting workshops will follow on from this if you wish to explore the process further.

After you attend this course we invite you to book any Thursday Afternoon practice session (untutored) at City Arts Newbury – you’d need to bring your own materials for those. See details of these sessions here.

Other costs and Materials to bring

  • Kitchen roll, apron or old shirt, something to carry your prints home in
  • Paper to print on….lightweight cartridge and/or coloured paper– tutor will bring basic white paper

Tutor will supply all other tools and materials that you need for this session

Workshop participant numbers will be small : maximum 10

Covid prevention

If you feel unwell please carry out a test and don’t attend if positive to avoid contagion as far as possible of our more vulnerable customers.

Cancellation policy.

Please note that a ticketing fee of £2 is included in the price of this workshop and this is not refundable in any circumstance.

If you are unable to attend the workshop and you cancel your attendance more than two weeks prior to the workshop, the ticketing fee above will be retained.  If you cancel less than two weeks before the workshop no fees are refundable.

In the event of City Arts having to cancel the workshop due to participants’ numbers falling below the minimum requirement or government advice changes, we will refund the whole workshop amount.
