One day workshop with Kevin Scully
2023 Kevin Scully Watercolour series

This workshop is for adults (18+)

On this course you will be shown how to render texture in watercolour by combining a number of techniques including wet-in-wet, dry brush, and opaque paint.
We will also look at some other slightly less conventional approaches to suggesting flaking plaster and peeling paint, rusty iron, and the rough surfaces of brick and stone without resorting to the usual gimmicks associated with creating texture.
No previous experience is necessary, and some materials will be supplied by the tutor free of charge.

A list of materials to bring will be circulated to attendees nearer the time.
These materials will be suitable for all the sessions on Kevin Scully’s 2023 Watercolour series.

Cancellation policy.

Please note that a ticketing fee of £2 is included in the price of this workshop and this is not refundable in any circumstance.

If you are unable to attend the workshop and you cancel your attendance more than two weeks prior to the workshop, the ticketing fee above will be retained.  If you cancel less than two weeks before the workshop no fees are refundable.

In the event of City Arts having to cancel the workshop due to participants’ numbers falling below the minimum requirement or government advice changes, we will refund the whole workshop amount.
