We are excited to announce that there will be a series of Open Exhibitions on various themes throughout 2023 at City Arts Newbury.
Our November 2023 Open Exhibition will be: Dark to Light – we are looking to exhibit local artists works celebrating Dark and Light in any media.
ARTISTS EXHIBITING
The following artists are participating in this exhibition, each highlighting their interpretation of the theme of Dark to Light: Charlotte Adcock, Amanda Bates, Sam Van Zyl, Patricia Anne Craig, Peter Smith, Faye Knight, Teresa Munn, Wendy Lloyd, Grahame Johnson, Sadie Brockbank, Deborah Caulfield, Kate Steele, Emma Clifton-Brown, Gavin Wilkinson, Geoff Wond, Katie Penlington, Claire Knott, Frank Knott, Claire Breitsprecher, Rachel Cheer and Natasha Gow.
We welcome the variety of approaches to the theme that has appealed to artists for so many years. Dark and Light are the basis of contrast and the expression of light.

- We will let you know whether your work is selected as soon as possible and no later than Tuesday 31 October 2023
- Handing in of selected artwork at City Arts Newbury will be on Wednesday 1 November at 6 pm
- Collection of unsold artworks from City Arts Newbury after the exhibition will be on Sunday 12 November at 4pm
We will be needing volunteers to help us with the hanging and stewarding of the exhibitions – if you are interested in helping out – simply get in touch.
