One Day workshop on botanical ink from the garden with Sabrina Talana-Carruth
Saturday 13 July 2024, 10 am to 2pm, £55
This workshop is for adults
This is a one day workshop to discover and learn the art of making botanical drawing inks from plants growing in the garden.
You will make botanical inks during the workshop and experiment with mark making on various type of paper using found or hand made marking tools that will be provided: you will be able to make swatches of colours and examples of marks using the botanical inks made by you , creating a logbook to take away with you and that can be the start of an inspiring art project to carry in your personal time as well as taking part to future classes and workshop with me at City Arts Newbury.
We will also experiment with the inks and other kitchen cupboard ingredients to see how the inks react with altering the pH levels changing into a different colour !
Please, dress for the mess and bring an apron and rubber gloves if you don’t want your hands to be stained.
Feel free to bring any paper and mark making tools/ brushes that you wish to use during the workshop.
We will have lunch break around midday , so please, bring your own pack lunch or check local cafes for take away food options.
