A Paint & PRINT workshop with karen Carter
Tuesday 22 October 2024 – 10am to 1pm – £40
This workshop is suitable for adults.
Taking inspiration from cakes, decorative china and the rituals that go with a nice cuppa (coffee drinkers are also very welcome!), we will use a range of mixed media techniques to create a collection of work full of teatime images…..perfect for our workshop project but adaptable to all sorts of other themes too.
Have fun playing with a range of approaches using actual teabags, tags and boxes, including simple printing from packaging, collage, and stitching into teabag ‘cloth’. These can be used to make greetings cards or small works of art.
A fun & informal workshop…..no experience needed, lots of demos, ideas and step-by-step instruction.
What to bring?
- Kitchen roll, apron or old shirt, something to carry your work home in
- Teabags! (Used and dried – the tutor will also bring some)
Teabag boxes, tags etc if you have them - Scissors or craft knife, pencil, biro, fine black waterproof pen if you have one
- Watercolours and brushes if you have them (the tutor will bring some to borrow)
The tutor will supply all other tools and materials that you need for this session

If you feel unwell please carry out a test and don’t attend if positive to avoid contagion as far as possible of our more vulnerable customers.
Cancellation policy.
Please note that a ticketing fee of £2 is included in the price of this workshop and this is not refundable in any circumstance.
If you are unable to attend the workshop and you cancel your attendance more than two weeks prior to the workshop, the ticketing fee above will be retained. If you cancel less than two weeks before the workshop no fees are refundable.
In the event of City Arts having to cancel the workshop due to participants’ numbers falling below the minimum requirement or government advice changes, we will refund the whole workshop amount.
