Sensational Seascapes Nov 2024

Morning Painting worskhop with Sue Bridge

Sunday 17 November 2024 – 10am to 1:30pm – ÂŁ45

This workshop is suitable for adults.

Create an expressive seascape using acrylics on heavy body mixed media paper. We will focus upon capturing the elemental energy of the sea capturing different wave and water effects.
This will be complemented by a variety of cloud and sky painting techniques.

All materials provided (but if possible students should bring a 1.5/2 inch flat brush)

All reference material is provided and the tutor will give step by step instructions and ideas and suggestions for different interpretations of the topic.

All basic materials provided though students may wish to bring their own (see below).

Materials to bring (optional)

  • 4 sheets A3 mixed media heavy weight paper.
  • A variety of blue acrylic paints
    • Ultramarine
    • Cobalt blue
    • Cerulean blue
    • Prussian blue
  • Titanium white
  • Paynes Grey
  • Raw or burnt umber
  • Lemon yellow
  • Sap green.
  • A variety of brushes including several flat ended ones.
  • A 1.5 or 2inch flat brush and an old toothbrush.

Cancellation policy.

Please note that a ticketing fee of ÂŁ2 is included in the price of this workshop and this is not refundable in any circumstance.

If you are unable to attend the workshop and you cancel your attendance more than two weeks prior to the workshop, the ticketing fee above will be retained.  If you cancel less than two weeks before the workshop no fees are refundable.

In the event of City Arts having to cancel the workshop due to participants’ numbers falling below the minimum requirement or government advice changes, we will refund the whole workshop amount.
