Chine Colle Still Life

Morning Painting worskhop with Sue Bridge

Sunday 22 June 2025 – 10am to 1:30pm – ÂŁ50

This workshop is suitable for adults.

An opportunity to experiment with coloured tissue and monoprinting to create lively and vibrant original prints.

The session will start with looking at examples of monoprints and discussing the proposed techniques and materials.
Using Sue’s reference materials you will draw from still life images making simple line drawings.

The creative phase will involve using tissue paper and creating exciting backgrounds to work upon.
The process can be a little messy so please bring an apron to protect clothing, the finished prints may still be wet at the end of the workshop and are best transported flat and uncovered.

If time permits there may be an opportunity to produce more than one monoprint. This activity lends itself to free and expressive drawing but also works well with a more structured approach hopefully your will have time to experience both methods of working.
