Daffodil Still Life

Acrylics workshop with Rachel Davis

Sunday 12 April 2026 – 10 am to 4pm – £70

This workshop is suitable for adults.

Join Rachel as we immerse ourselves in an uplifting daffodil themed spring still life workshop using acrylic paint.
We will start the morning using a variety of drawing mediums to create a series of sketches. This will ensure we loosen up and build an engaging composition.
We will be working from life and fresh daffodils, jugs and vases will be available for you to choose from.

We will then turn our attentions to some colour mixing and ensure we achieve atmosphere , mood and depth. Moving along to mark making – the magic ingredient that adds touch, feel and tactile magic.

Rachel will share some texture paste mediums with you that you can experiment with, pushing the consistency of the medium.

A movement and reflection break before we complete a preparation paint sketch before working on our final piece together.

All materials for the workshop will be provided by the tutor so simply dress for mess and enjoy!

Cancellation policy.

Please note that a ticketing fee of £5 is included in the price of this workshop and this is not refundable in any circumstance.

If you are unable to attend the workshop and you cancel your attendance more than two weeks prior to the workshop, the ticketing fee above will be retained.  If you cancel less than two weeks before the workshop no fees are refundable.

In the event of City Arts having to cancel the workshop due to participants’ numbers falling below the minimum requirement or government advice changes, we will refund the whole workshop amount.
