Fabric Fun : Gel plate & Monoprints

A FABRIC PRINTING workshop with karen Carter

Tuesday 18 June 2024 – 10am to 1pm – £40

This workshop is suitable for adults.

Create marvellous monoprints on fabric using acrylic paints, oil pastels, gel plates and a bit of magic!

From lovely painterly effects to fine linework you will create colourful layered designs – each one unique to create a stash of fabrics that can form the basis of further work. These can then be embellished with stitch, beads, buttons etc to make a variety of textile pieces – perfect for wall-art or small practical items such as pin cushions, purses, book covers etc.

No previous experience needed in either textiles or printing….this is a playful experimental approach to working on cloth (please note that this is for ‘art textiles’ or things that won’t need washing).
