Art meets – for artists looking for a discussion forum
Meet other artists to present and discuss your work in a mutually supportive environment. This may be an opportunity to explore more. We are offering a monthly meeting that might offer a number of ways to discuss our art.
Forthcoming 2026 art meet dates
- Sun 22 Februaruy 2026 – bring some artwork to discuss – finished or in progress
- Sun 22 March 2026 – Art and the found object – introduced by Charlotte
- Sun 19 April 2026 – everyone bring thoughts about an inspiring book they have read to the group – could be an art book, could be some other book that has had an impactful and stimulating effect on your work. Discuss programme for rest of year – including a shared project?
The format is (loosely) a preliminary talk/ presentation but an artist/group of artists and then discussion – please bring some work if you would like some feedback.
Early in 2025, we put together an exhibition Metamorphosis which showcased the work we produced together on an exchange project from June to December 2024 on the topic of Metamorphosis
Our Art meet sessions
These sessions are led by Lorna Goldsmith and we discuss a range of topics with one artist doing a short presentation.
Many artists would like to discuss their work to get some feedback from the group, some would like to think about working collaboratively, art and the business of selling and marketing.
Please send any further topics or ideas to Isabel or Lorna so they can incorporate in future sessions and volunteer to introduce a topic if you wish.
